EDUCATORS' CORNER

Dr. Sawyer is currently researching the impact of university teacher education programs on pre-service teachers. She, along with three other professors, Dr. Elliott, Dr. Hunter, and Dr. Little, are collecting data to compare the practices of HBCUs and predominately white institutions. The goal is to develop recommendations that will improve student teacher practices in HBCUs.

In 2014, she presented at the HUIC and Kappa Delta Pi Conferences.
